This PIR motion sensor light bulb CAN NOT work through glass or any lamp covers, as the bulb top must be completely exposed.
The bulb should be installed downward and no higher than 23 feet, or the sensor will not work. It automatically runs a 30-second test per first installation even if you install it in the daytime.
